Hi 👋 I’m Kim Fitkin and I write about leadership and human psychology every week on my blog.
Over 15 years in management and leadership I’ve developed my own people-first approach to leading teams.
I believe that empathizing with people and understanding the motivations and behaviors that drive action is the most effective way to guide and grow teams. This will create lasting impact in your organization and the people with whom you connect.
I currently serve as the President of a 100-person digital marketing agency in Orange County, California. There I practice and refine these philosophies daily alongside our dedicated leadership team and brilliant team members. I owe them so much for the opportunity and feedback that allows me to do this.
As a student of human psychology, I study and practice the DISC framework of human behavior. On this blog I share my experiences of how dominance, influencing, steadiness and compliance influence human interactions. And how we can leverage this be more effective leaders through understanding and intention.
My most influential authors are A, B, and C. Through them you will find the concepts of X, Y, and Z as recurring topics here.
I hope I can help you on your journey to improve as a leader, better understand the people around you, and be more impactful and intentional in everything you do.
And if you want to get to know me a little more personally 😉 I’m also a mother of two amazing boys, wife, plant eater, and avid cyclist on my Peloton 🚲.
If you have questions or leadership challenges please ask me! I would love to get to know you and share my experiences with you😀
